The theme for the National Seminar of the Indian Society for Non-Destructive Testing
2002 emphasises the dynamic nature of NDE and its active contribution to Advanced 
Engineering.

These words reflect on the process that NDE can trigger and must constantly aspire to
-that of not just finding defects in materials but playing an active role in the building of 
innovative technologies. 

NDE2002 is without doubt, the most important event on Non Destructive Testing and 
Evaluation in South Asia in 2002. It features not just a contemporary and comprehensive
seminar programme of lectures, presentations and tutorials but an exhibition on 
state-of-the-art NDT equipment, products and services - the NDEXPO. Four tutorials with
